After years of speculation on what would have happened at the FIFA brand once separate from EA in 2022, today the answer that nobody expected arrives: FIFA Heroes, a 5 -a -side football game that completely upsets the traditional approach of the franchise. Instead of the professional players who have dominated the consoles for decades, the protagonists will be the official FIFA mascots, in an experience that focuses everything on fantasy and family fun.
The contrast with the past could no longer be marked. Where once there were Messi, Ronaldo and the champions of world football, now we find Clutch The United States Aquila, Zayu the Jaguar of Mexico and Maple the Alce del Canada. These cartoon characters, presented in the announcement trailer without however showing actual game sequences, will represent the three main North American nations in a completely reinvented football adventure.
Each mascot will have unique special skills and moves, according to what was announced in the official press release. Players will be able to try their hand against artificial intelligence and in multiplayer online challenges, keeping at least this element of continuity with the tradition of the brand.
