FIFA 21 brings next-gen football to PS5 and Xbox Series X: here is the date!

EA Sports announced that FIFA 21 upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S will be available starting December 4th.

The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, but owners of a current-gen version will be able to upgrade to the new one at no additional cost.

FIFA 21 will take advantage of the Dual Entitlement initiative, thanks to which you can buy one version of the title and have two.

Players will be able to upgrade from PS4 to PS5 and from Xbox One to Xbox Series X | S for free , and even after upgrading they will be able to go back to the original edition at any time, as this will remain functional on the source console.

Saves will be aligned between the two different editions, although this feature will be limited to FIFA Ultimate Team and Volta.

Online Seasons, co-op seasons, Career mode, Pro Club will instead be limited to the home console.

Finally, the PS5 and Xbox Series X copy that will be provided to players will be digital only , and will require you to always have the FIFA 21 disc for PS4 and Xbox One inserted into the new consoles.

It is not yet clear what the upgrade will consist of but, as Ubisoft did a few hours ago, we expect the details to be revealed soon.

If you haven’t made it yet, you can get a copy of FIFA 21 at a great price on Amazon
