Fallout 4 could perhaps arrive on Switch: what if it came out on Switch 2?

When broad support from third-party developers for Nintendo Switch was announced, Bethesda was one of the companies that decided to immediately support the new hybrid consoles from the Kyoto company.\r\nIn fact, you will remember that one of the first video games announced on the console Nintendo was Skyrim: a particularly ambitious work, which demonstrated the enormous potential of the Switch.\r\nIt seems, however, that this was not to be Bethesda’s only flagship video game: GoNintendo in fact reports to us the latest post published on the ResetEra forum by reporter Imran Khan, according to whom a porting of Fallout 4 appears to have also been planned.\r\nThe fourth chapter of the saga obviously never arrived on Nintendo consoles, remaining confined to the PC and console versions (you can find it on Amazon), but it seems that at a certain point it was actually in development.\r\nAccording to his story, it seems that it was even Pete Hines of Bethesda who told his boss at the time – when he worked for Game Informer – to expect an announcement of Fallout 4 on Switch.\r\nKhan had therefore already prepared a draft to be carefully reviewed and updated at the time of the official announcement, so as to be immediately ready for the reveal… which never happened, given that at a at some point it must have been cancelled.\r\nThis interesting background however leaves us with an inevitable curiosity: what if the work done for Fallout 4 was reused to create a port on Switch 2?\r\nAlthough these are rumors to be taken with them due precautions of the case, it is in fact plausible to imagine that, if there really was a cancellation, this could have happened due to technical limitations of the current hybrid consoles.\r\nIn the wake of the success achieved by the TV series, the launch of Fallout 4 on Switch 2 could serve to attract a new audience of enthusiasts, while at the same time also giving Nintendo a third-party title that could have a strong appeal from launch.\r\nObviously ours is only speculation, but we cannot know if there really is a porting in development: we will keep you updated on our pages as soon as we know more about it.\r\nRemaining on the subject of news with the Bethesda saga, we remind you that filming for Season 2 of Fallout is about to start again, which unfortunately has suffered an inevitable slowdown due to the fires in Los Angeles.
