According to a former Lionhead, fans should get the peace of mind about the possibility that a new installment in the Fable series see the light under another developer.
The firm founded by Peter Molyneux, you will recall, was shut down in 2016 with the project, the cooperative that should have Fable Legends F2P see light, Xbox One after a long beta, and Windows 10.
Adam Langridge has served as a lead gameplay programmer for ten years, from2006 until closing, and feels that “we had a connection so personal with that series.”
“There was a large number of key people-for example, the creative director Dene cards–whose vision has shaped that franchise, and without those key people you will have many difficulties in recreating the same type of Fable,” said Langridge.
“Their personalities permeated the games (…), it would be very difficult for another studio, a game of Fable as we knownow, but you might think I’m throwing down the gauntlet! Take a tour! Try this! “.
The hope is, of course, that Microsoft once again entrust the veteran’s saga of Lionhead-because the same Peter Molyneux had given his willingness-or at least recover the IP external hiring a talented team, as with Age of Empires IV.
The same Phil Spencer had opened the possibility of a return of Fable.
