Martha is Dead and H ot Wheels Unleashed were awarded at the Italian Video Game Awards , organized by the trade association of the video game industry (known as IIDEA).
The horror title Martha is Dead (our review here) won the Best Innovation award, while Hot Wheels Unleashed was crowned as best Italian game (you can find it on Amazon at a very low price, in case you want to try it for yourself).
As for the other winners, Nacon Studio Milan – the developer behind the Rims Racing motorcycle simulator – won the Outstanding Italian Company award, while the veteran of the sector Ivan Venturi received the award for Outstanding Individual Contribution (via VGC ).
Vesper from Cordens Interactive won the award for the best Italian debut. “Our main goal as the Italian Association for Interactive Digital Entertainment is to encourage the growth of our national video game industry and to share it internationally, and the Italian Videogames Award ceremony has succeeded in this intention” , declared Thalita Malagò , General Manager of IIDEA.
“Every year we are impressed by the variety of applications received and this year was no exception . We are extremely grateful to our diligent judges for having contributed to this event », concluded Malagò.

In addition to the awards, the Italian Video Game Awards ceremony featured upcoming titles from Italian developers, including Milestone’s SBK 22 , Batora: Lost Haven Stormind Games, Reply Game Studios ‘ Soulstice and Jyamma Games’ Project Galileo .
