As you know, the next chapter in Konami’s football series will be called eFootball , taking the franchise to new heights of excellence.

PES 2021 will therefore be remembered as the last episode linked to the historic Konami brand, which over the years has become a real guarantee of quality

The choice, however, was not taken well by the fans, to the point that « RIP PES » quickly became a trend on various social networks.

It is also true that eFootball will be totally free, however, something that has certainly tickled the palate of players all over the world.

Now, Konami has announced via Twitter that eFootball will not abandon offline modes and will instead add various extra modes, including Master League , as an optional paid DLC to be released later.

The news comes after confirmation of a series of features that will be included in the new simulator, such as cross-platform matchmaking, which will be added free-to-play game between autumn 2021 and winter 2021.

Early Autumn :

• Completely new gameplay experience powered by Unreal Engine
• Cross-generational matchmaking (i.e. PlayStation 5 vs PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S vs Xbox One)
• Local matches with FC Barcelona, ​​Juventus, FC Bayern, Manchester United and more

Autumn:

• Cross-platform matchmaking between console and PC
  Team Building Mode (Name to be defined): Build your team by acquiring players
  Online Leagues (Name TBA): Grab your original squad and compete in a competitive global league
  Match Pass System: Earn items and players by playing eFootball

Winter:

• Added support for mobile controllers
• Full cross-platform matchmaking on all available platforms, including mobile devices with compatible controllers
• Professional and amateur eSports tournaments are underway
