Electronic Arts has announced the removal of a title from EA Access and all digital stores. This is EA Sports Rory Mcllroy PGA Tour.
The golf title “will be removed from the digital stores and will no longer be available for purchase, it will also leave the EA Access vault on May 22, 2018”.
The motivation behind this choice is unclear but, as has happened in other circumstances, it seems clear that there is a deadline for some agreements or licenses.
This is not the first time a videogame is removed from EA Access. It had already happened with FIFA 14 but in that case the football background productions were not lacking at all on the service.
With the farewell to Rory Mcllroy PGA Tour, however, the subscribers will no longer have access to a game of golf on the platform. We’ll see if this gap will be filled in some way.
