There doesn’t seem to be a release date coming, at least judging from what we see and the fairly serious tones used.
Techland may “simply” have the intention of discussing uncontrolled rumors about development difficulties, undermined by Chris Avellone’s farewell.
These complications were followed by allegations of a toxic work environment, which would have slowed development by far.
The European team had also been at the center of rumors that they were close to being acquired by Microsoft, quickly denied each time.
The last time we heard about it, however, it was confirmed that Dying Light 2 is not dead, so we expect good news beyond a probable lengthening of the times.
The game, an open-world survival horror, was initially slated for spring 2020 , but was postponed to a later date.
This silence had caused some concern in the community, which is still very strong despite the fact that years have passed since the original chapter.
