Do you want to start over? In ARC Raiders decidi tu

ARC Raiders, the next title from Embark Studios, will introduce a system that will allow players to decide for themselves when to reset their progress, thus overcoming one of the most controversial problems of this type of game.
The heart of ARC Raiders’ innovation lies in the Expedition Project, a system that is activated when players reach level 20. This mechanism operates on cycles of approximately eight weeks, during which the community gradually contributes to the completion of a collective objective. Once the goal is reached, players can freely choose whether to reset their progress or keep it for the next cycle.
Resetting will clear character levels, skills, inventory, and crafting capabilities, but will preserve cosmetic items, achievements, and purchased rewards. It is an approach that seeks to balance the need for game renewal with respect for the time invested by players.
Those who decide to complete a reset will not gain combat advantages over other players, a critical design choice to maintain competitive fairness. Rewards instead focus on exclusive cosmetic items, quality of life improvements, and benefits that facilitate progression into the next cycle.

As explained by the development team, the goal is to value the time spent in the game as much as the player himself does. This approach clearly distinguishes itself from the global mandatory resets that characterize many industry competitors, where all progress is erased simultaneously regardless of individual will.
ARC Raiders is preparing to launch on October 30th in a particularly competitive window, positioning itself between Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Despite the fierce competition, the title seems to focus on systemic differentiation rather than the media firepower of the big franchises.
Embark Studios’ strategy openly acknowledges the limitations of its approach: it is not a perfect solution that guarantees the total cleanliness of a mandatory global reset. However, the goal is to create a fairer system that takes into account the different time availability of players, an increasingly felt problem in the contemporary gaming community.
Prior to the official launch, ARC Raiders will offer a free public test later this month, allowing the community to preview this innovative system. The feedback collected during this phase will be crucial to further refine the mechanism before the final release.
