The world of online video games knows well the delicate balance between innovation and stability, but what happened in Diablo 4 (here our review) on July 15 represents a manual case of how an update can turn from opportunities to disaster.
Patch 2.3.1, second of the month and full of improvements for the various classes, was to be a welcome surprise for the community, instead it proved to be a technical nightmare that compromised the game experience for thousands of users.
The irony of the situation is that Blizzard had even launched a surprise event in conjunction with the update, but nobody managed to enjoy it because of the technical problems.
The problems began to manifest immediately after downloading the patch. The console users were the most affected, experimenting with a gameplay characterized by unbearable lag, characters who suddenly teleported and enemies that accumulated damage abnormally.
The situation has rapidly degenerated with frequent crashes, game blocks and, in some cases, even the disappearance of expansion content.
