After the debacle of Battlefield 2042 , Electronic Arts and DICE have not given up on the latest chapter of the shooter saga. p>
The unfortunate chapter of the franchise , the last one you can still find on Amazon, was a negative surprise for all the fans and the development team.
But there is a plan to revitalize the series after Battlefield 2042 which was a failure across the board.
A title that was perhaps too ambitious , at least according to the recent words of Vince Zampella, and that this didn’t work out in the end.
As we have said several times Electronic Arts and DICE have no plans to abandon Battlefield 2042 anytime soon, which even updates with update 2.1.
PCGamesN reports the forthcoming release of a patch for the shooter, which aims to fix some of the game’s flaws.
The update will arrive on September 27, with the reworking of the Renewal map that the developer discussed at the launch of Season 2.
The latest update will also include the revamped version of the map, as well as three new vault weapons , the new Polaris RZR buggy and a number of bug fixes and improvements.
With this update, DICE has made the map “less pristine and more ready for war” . Which means the inclusion of an additional topography and the demolition of a large number of military fortifications.
In addition, players will be able to unlock new weapons from Battlefield Portal, namely the P90, the GOL rifle and the M1911 that come from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 .
The complete changelog is available on the official website, proving that developer and publisher don’t want to abandon players anytime soon.
Also because the future of DICE and Electronic Arts will only include Battlefield , which killed every other IP in the catalog.
A franchise that recently turned 20 and probably after all this time is in need of a major overhaul, perhaps.
