Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden are among those franchises that have disappeared in recent years, but Team Ninja is going to stop this trend.
In particular, the fighting game saga, stopped with the sixth chapter (which you can always find on Amazon), has had no return of any kind.
If nothing else Ninja Gaiden showed up again with a recently released collection, which allowed us to relive Ryu’s adventures.
And while the historic creator of the two franchises is dedicating himself to something else, decidedly uninteresting products for now , it seems that Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden are on their way back.
As VGC reports, Team Ninja’s future plans would include reboots of both series sooner or later.
Fumihiko Yasuda, president of Team Ninja gave a speech in Korea of the South talking about the future of the studio’s projects, on the occasion of a G-Star conference in Busan.
A slide shown at the end of his panel reportedly featured images from both series, with the title “The Future of Team Ninja – Popular Series Reboots”.
Yasuda has publicly stated several times his desire to revive the series of Ninja Gaiden.
This new detail of the conference would make the thought that Team Ninja wants to give a chance to its franchises even more valid.
In relation to Dead or Alive, on the other hand, the development team had never expressed a willingness to get back to the series. Also because, from a commercial point of view, the sixth and last episode hadn’t been too satisfying.
Recently Team Ninja had just talked about the return of Ninja Gaiden, a series that should have returned on only one condition which, apparently, was found or at least hypothesized.
Speaking of great comebacks, Ed Boon has publicly expressed the fact that Injustice 3 and Mortal Kombat 12 will be the studio’s next titles.
