Cyberpunk 2077, discovered an unused monorail: is it one of the cut contents?

A Reddit user discovered a monorail installed in Night City but never actually used within Cyberpunk 2077.

This discovery suggests that this is one of the cut contents of CD Projekt RED’s RPG shooter, or that this complex system could be used in an upcoming DLC.

To tell the truth, the Polish software house hasn’t done much to hide the railway system implemented in its dystopian metropolis.

The tracks can in fact be found alongside the elevated lanes of the intricate Night City highway system.

Many have not noticed it, but in reality those platforms never host any train traveling either in one direction or in the other.

it looks like they planned on having a fully functioning train system but couldn’t finish it in time! from cyberpunkgame

A player asked himself the question and made a discovery he could hardly believe: the rail system even leads to an incomplete station.

Once you reach the station there are doors leading into the Night City Area Rapid Transit (NCART) , which V can even interact with.

The existence of this interaction suggests that the station is part of content cut at the last moment, perhaps for reasons related to the many postponements and technical problems of the launch.

Better still, the system could be recovered in view of the free DLC program and paid expansions which, as you know, will start in early 2021.

Whatever the reason, it’s certainly a curiosity that will further thrill the mercenaries who are roaming the polluted and corrupt streets of Cyberpunk 2077 these days.
