In an interview with GamesIndustry International, Aaron Greenberg, head of marketing for Xbox, explained that Microsoft did not feel the need to hasten the times with Crackdown 3 due to the overcrowding of triple-A titles for the Christmas holidays.
“We will have Forza Horizon 4 coming out on October 2nd and before the explosion beam,” commented Greenberg, referring to the launch of titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
“We did not need Crackdown or any of our other titles in this vacation window, we plan to launch it in February, and then we’ll launch Ori and the Will of the Wisps.”
“We like to have a solid pace of content throughout the year,” he added, “but there are more than enough content for these holidays.”
