Artificial intelligences are inevitably the future, whether we like the idea or not, and Microsoft with its AI Copilot has decided to insert new features within the Xbox platform, on console or PC.\r\nThe novelty has been announced a few hours ago (via Windows Central) in a special conference in which Microsoft expressed in detail what will be the features of Copilot on Xbox.\r\nMicrosoft’s Copilot is an artificial intelligence-based assistant integrated into Microsoft 365 applications. Using advanced language models, Copilot helps users write, analyze data, create presentations, and manage emails. However, the moment is also used to generate texts and images thanks to the integration with Dall-E, and very soon it will also be dedicated to gaming.\r\nIn today’s event dedicated to Surface and AI, Microsoft made official the inclusion of Coplilot in the world of video games.\r\nUsing Minecraft (you can find it on Amazon in a very physical version) as an example, it was shown how Copilot will be able to answer questions like «How can I create a sword?», and the artificial intelligence will to search in the chests within the game, in the inventory, in the collected materials and will suggest how to create the object step by step.\r\nIn fact it is an alternative way to the classic search for online guides, which in fact does not will be needed more, providing a notable step forward regarding the integration of technology into video games.\r\nDuring the event Microsoft placed a lot of emphasis on privacy, claiming that the data used will remain on the device and will not be uploaded to the cloud or used to train language models without consensus. Honestly, the most critical aspect regarding the integration of artificial intelligence.\r\nAs in any case of AI integration, these are only the initial potential of this technology which will certainly improve in a very short time.\r\ On the other hand, according to Electronic Arts, it is the developers themselves who strongly want the inclusion of AI within the development of video games. We’ll see what happens.
