In an interview granted to the Polish website Bankier.pl, CEO Adam Kicinski has unveiled that CD Projekt RED is working on another major project other than Cyberpunk 2077.

Considering what Kicinski said during this interview, there is a great chance that this is a new chapter in The Witcher series, although the next game set in that universe will not be called The Witcher 4.

“For now we want to focus conscientiously on Cyberpunk 2077, so as not to dispel our resources and the attention of the players”, explained the CEO, adding that “there will be the right time” to “say more” on this second project .

“The first three Witchers were by definition a trilogy, so we simply can not call the next game The Witcher 4. That does not mean, of course, that we will leave the world of The Witcher, created by us over the course of a dozen years. Witcher is one of the two franchises on which to build the future activities of the company, but unfortunately I can not reveal that much. “

Beyond the hype for a new The Witcher, with all that we have tried to learn more about Cyberpunk 2077 (first sighted at E3 2018), it seems that the road traced by Kicinski is the wisest.
