Activision has announced that the first free multiplayer trial of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will launch today, December 15, 2022.
In fact, it seems that the enthusiasm for the second chapter of Modern Warfare (you can find it on Amazon) may have brought the series back to the crest of the wave.
After all, Modern Warfare 2 was in fact the chapter that sold the most copies ever in its opening weekend, which is no small feat.
Now, after Activision has decided to shuffle the cards on the table for its “new” battle royale of reference, i.e. Warzone 2.0, players will now be able to test firsthand the multiplayer sector of MW2.
The free trial will be active from 19:00 today and will be available until next December 19, that is this week’s weekend (via PSU).
The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Trial will offer access to the game modes Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination and Kill Confirmed, as well as the third person option for each mode.
There will also be three maps available, including Farm 18 and El Asilo, which launched alongside the shooter in question, as well as Shipment, which arrived earlier this week as part of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded.
The game has led to record numbers also for the online component which, due to the large influx of users, had quite a few problems during day one.
In the meantime, if you are curious to find out more details on the latest chapter of the saga, you can find the complete review of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on our pages, in which we explained that the game «is an episode that will please those who have missed their appointment with Call of Duty for many years, but who really fail to raise the bar for those who are keeping up with all the news in terms of shooter in first person and multiplayer, which here do not make significant progress.”
