The BioShock series has remained in the shadows for some time, although the historical chapters are still much loved (and played).\r\nThe saga (which you can also find on Amazon at a very low price) is certainly one of the most appreciated ever. \r\nThis, to the point that someone has recently given life to a concept of an ideal next-gen remake of the first chapter, in Unreal Engine.\r\nNow, however, as also reported by DSO Gaming, the modder “FCH823 ” has released a new HD Texture Pack for BioShock 2 Remastered that overhauls over 3500 textures.\r\nGoing into detail, this pack eliminates many pixelated textures that were present in the original remaster.\r\nAdditionally, the mod improves details thanks to new AI algorithms and methods currently available. \r\nMost diffuse and specular textures have been increased by two to four times, depending on the content and original resolution.\r\nThe mod covers all types of textures, i.e. those related to environments, objects, characters and more. The only thing that remains intact is the UI (which is not stored as a texture).\r\nFor those wondering, 2K Marin basically used AI tools to improve textures in BioShock 2 Remastered. However, these tools at the time were not as good as the current ones.\r\nFor this reason, in order to make them even more beautiful, the modder upscaled the original 2010 textures.\r\nThe final result is really excellent : you can in any case download this HD Texture Pack for free from this address. The decompressed file has a size of approximately 13 GB, while approximately 22 GB are needed to install it.\r\nStill on BioShock, I recommend you also download this HD Texture Pack for the remaster of the first, historic chapter. Created by the same modder, this pack will also significantly improve the graphics of the game.
