Battlefield V: microtransactions will not be pay-to-win, according to multiple reports

According to several concordant reports, Battlefield V will include microtransactions but these will not be pay-to-win, since DICE – after the Star Wars Battlefront II case – would be paying close attention to avoiding controversy.

The indiscretion was launched by USGamer.net, then being reiterated by Kotaku after hearing some sources very close to the development of the new chapter of the shooter series (whose denomination is not yet official).

“That report is accurate, but a little premature,” they explain from Kotaku. “Two people close to DICE told me that the plans for microtransactions of the next Battlefield have changed in the past and will undoubtedly change even before the game comes out in the fall.”

However, “the company is certainly hoping to be able to move forward with elements of aesthetic personalization”, in response to feedback, which we define by using a euphemism, arrived after the launch of Battlefront II.

Battlefield V would be destined to be set during the Second World War, as we told you in our previous news.
