Battlefield Studios today released new seasonal content for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC, kicking off Season 1 – California Resistance. In addition to the update, the team announced a free trial of Battlefield 6 coming later this month. From November 25th to December 2nd, players will be able to test the game for free with a selection of three maps and five modes, a whole week to discover the frenzy of multiplayer.
With today’s update, owners of Battlefield 6 will be able to fight in Eastwood, a new map set in an idyllic neighborhood of Southern California. Golf courses and dream villas now become battlegrounds, offering an evocative yet chaotic scenario for high-intensity close-quarters battles.
The new Sabotage mode also makes its debut, a race against time in which to destroy as many targets as possible. The mode will be available on various maps for a limited time, including Eastwood and Blackwell Fields, both of which are included in the new season.
Battlefield REDSEC expands with new free content. Gauntlet introduces a new mission, while in the Battle Royale mode players will be able to locate and break into the survivors’ warehouses in Fort Lyndon, enriching the experience with new loot and survival opportunities.
The update transforms Portal mode into an even more powerful sandbox. Creators now have new tools and greater flexibility to design custom modes, build bespoke scenarios, and create completely original experiences within the Battlefield universe.
In parallel, the Californian Resistance seasonal event arrives, available both on Battlefield 6 and for free on REDSEC. The event introduces a bonus track that can be completed alongside the Season 1 battle pass, offering additional rewards throughout the duration of the initiative.
Complete details on Season 1 can be found in the dedicated post on the official blog. The final phase of the season, Winter Offensive, will debut on December 9th with special seasonal-themed content.
