A new online leaked movie has revealed an unprecedented map of Battlefield 6 (we tried it), never shown before. The leak arrives a few weeks after the official launch, scheduled for October 10, and offers a taste of what should be one of the scenarios included in the first season of the game.
The news escape confirms once again the very high wait around the new chapter by Targato says, despite the attempts of the developers to keep the maximum reserve.
The map, called Blackwell Field or Blackwell Farm, stands out for a different approach from the series standards. The area is mainly flat and seems to offer an alternative tactical approach compared to the most classic urban or mountainous scenarios.
The video leak, however, does not fully return the potential of the map, thanks to the player’s style of the player and the FOV settings used.
Despite the long wait necessary for EA and the teams involved to officially present the project, the hype around Battlefield 6 remains very high. The success of the open beta last month is proof of this, which recorded extraordinary numbers and demonstrated the desire of the public to get her hands on the new shooter.
From the data collected during the tests, a curious detail emerged: many PC users participated using configurations to the limit of the minimum requirements, if not even lower. This has made the need to optimize the title even more evident, so as to guarantee a stable experience even on less performing systems.
Just attention to performance has led to an important decision: Battlefield 6 will not support the Ray Tracing at launch, and in all likelihood it will never do so. The developers have chosen to concentrate all the resources on optimization, aiming to offer a fluid and competitive gameplay, where every millisecond can make a difference.
A pragmatic approach that favors accessibility and stability compared to the most advanced graphic effects. A sensible strategy for a franchise that aims to confirm itself as one of the absolute references in the panorama of online shooters.
Battlefield 6 will arrive on 10 October on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The Community remains with suspended breath, waiting to find out what other surprises he says he decided to keep hidden until launch.
