Another Xbox exclusive has been postponed to 2021

Another exclusive Xbox console has been postponed to 2021 .

This time it’s up to Crossfire X , Smilegate’s first-person shooter that will arrive for the first time in the West thanks to this version, with a single-player story mode curated by Remedy .

To cause the delay were the difficulties related to COVID-19, which inevitably slowed down the developer.

«After much thought, and in consideration of the challenges faced by the Smilegate development team due to COVID-19 , we made the difficult decision to postpone the release of CrossFire X to 2021 », reads a communication shared on Twitter.

«Moving our release will allow us to deliver the Crossfire console experience that our team set out to create. We will have more to share in the future ».

The lineup of titles expected at launch or close to the release of Xbox Series X | S thus loses another title after several similar cases.

It was Halo Infinite who first raised the white flag, immediately after showing off some disappointing gameplay.

In the following months it was the turn of other games such as The Ascent , an interesting cooperative shooter with an isometric view, and The Medium , horror with a psychological trait from the creators of Observer .

All three will be included from launch day on Xbox Game Pass, but in the meantime, you’ll have to wait a little longer to get your hands on them.
