The Mario Kart franchise is an immortal franchise and, today, we have another example to define it this way.
Not so much for the sensational eighth chapter, also released on Nintendo Switch via Amazon, which continues to sell many years after its launch.
The title is in fact permanently at the top of the top 10 best-selling video games of the hybrid console, since it came out.
And while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been updated again with new courses which are within the Additional Paths Package, there is another title of the saga that is being updated in these hours.
It is Mario Kart 7 which, with a certain surprise, is being updated after 10 years with new content (as reported by Gamespot ).
The title for Nintendo 3DS was in fact updated on the evening of 13 December 2022, after being launched in 2011.
The update is somewhat vague about what changes have actually been made. The only sure indication is that “several issues have been fixed to improve the gaming experience”, as mentioned in the patch note.
Some argue that the update fixed a security exploit, which may also apply to games such as ARMS, Super Mario Maker 2 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
In short, if you were still playing Mario Kart 7 for whatever reason, now you know that your gaming experience has also improved.
The seventh chapter was very important, because many of the game design ideas added were then maintained later.
An important episode also for having further opened the doors of the online community to Mario Kart, also thanks to the great popularity of Nintendo 3DS.
On the other hand, if you want your Mario Kart personal but don’t have a Switch, maybe there’s still time to have a similar game, and even for free.
Or, to celebrate your love for the franchise, you can put an extraordinary themed chronograph on your wrist.
