Another big greets 2021: here is the new release date

The 2021 is unfortunately turning out to be a black year with regard to video game releases, with a large number of titles of a certain weight necessarily postponed to 2022 .

Just think of Horizon Forbidden West , which has recently been officially postponed to next year despite initial plans to release it no later than the Christmas holidays.

Kena Bridge of Spirits has also suffered a small delay in the past few weeks, although the game’s launch is not far off now.

Fortune has it that other big names like Halo Infinite have instead “saved”, managing to come out towards the end of this year that has still suffered a lot from the consequences of the global health emergency.

Now, with a post published on their official social channels, the Techland guys have unfortunately confirmed that the release date of their Dying light 2 Stay Human has been postponed to next year .

The game, initially expected within the year, will be released on February 4, 2022 , a month that promises to be full of releases, including Sifu and the aforementioned Horizon Forbidden West .

Here is the original message posted by the developers:

We have important news to share with you about the development progress of Dying Light 2 Stay Human . Our company’s goal has always been to build transparent and honest communication with our community of fans and players.

The team is steadily moving forward with production and the game that is now close to the finish line . The game is complete and we are currently testing it. It is by far the largest and most ambitious project we have ever done.

Unfortunately, we have found that to take the game to the level we imagine, we need more time to perfect and optimize it . That’s why we have decided to move the release date to February 4, 2022.

Sorry to keep you waiting a little longer, but we want the game to meet your highest expectations at the time of release and we don’t want to compromise on that.

But that’s not all, Techland has anticipated that in October both the press and content creators will be able to try the PC and console versions of the game first-hand thanks to dedicated events.

Recall that a few months ago the developers announced that Dying Light 2 did not have any hitches in development, indeed, but that the problem is to be found in the initial announcement, which occurred too soon.

It is also true that the game will be a huge title, with substantial post-launch support, and therefore it is more than reasonable to expect not too short development times.
