Cloanto has just reached another important milestone for the preservation of Amiga and Commodore systems, which from this moment can really return to relive even on the most modern PCs.
With a press release arrived at our editorial staff, the company has in fact announced that it has made available the update 11 for Amiga Forever and C64 Forever, in progress for two years and which adds different features particularly interesting for the most nostalgic.
In fact, in addition to the usual emulation of software and creative applications, versions 11 add support to virtual printers, input touchscreen and even support for handheld devices, really coming within everyone’s reach.
The new virtual printers are certainly the most interesting feature of this update, given that it will allow you to emulate the experience of a points matrix printer, just as it was done once: Amiga Forever and C64 Forever will even allow to render the classic drilling typical of the printed sheets of the time on the sheet.
Over the years, Amiga and Commodore 64 have inspired several interesting revivals, but mainly dedicated to those who wanted to rediscover their videogame history (like this interesting product on Amazon), while Amiga Forever 11 and C64 Forever 11 intend to recreate the authentic experience of use for the electronic devices of the past.
If you are interested in discovering all the details of these interesting news, extremely important for the software preservation, we leave you to the full press release present at the following address.
Amiga Forever is available in three different editions starting from € 19.95, obviously variable based on the characteristics included, while C64 Forever is available in a free Express version and two other paid editions.
It will probably be to be faded for a bit for those who do not very familiar with the old Amiga and C64, but for those who have grown up with these machines these are absolutely interesting solutions.
