Through a note released by the company, Amazon has communicated that, from today, will no longer accept orders on some non-essential products both on Amazon.it and Amazon.fr .
The decision was made necessary by the current international health emergency due to the pandemic of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and, as a direct consequence, it was necessary to adopt specific measures of distancing within distribution centers to allow employees to continue working safely .
In this way, the company will give priority to the most requested products that customers need most . The measures will be taken both for Amazon Retail offers and for those of the sales partners who use Amazon Logistics.
However, users can still order many of these products from sales partners who ship directly.
Amazon reassures that all orders already confirmed will be regularly delivered .
The company recommends not to use delivery addresses relating to buildings that could be closed due to the measures in force (for example schools and workplaces) and that the service rendered is still active, even offering time until the next 31 May to proceed with the operation.
At the moment it is not possible to speculate whether these measures will affect other countries.
