Through the dissemination of a press release AESVI, the trade association that represents the video game industry in Italy, welcomed the first instance judgment issued by a court in Milan against an importer and local Distributor (PCBOX s.r.l.) of devices that circumvent technological protection measures built into Nintendo systems, violating itscopyrights. The judgment proves to be completely in line with several sentences from the criminal section of the Italian Court of Cassation against dealers of illegal devices created to circumvent such security measures anti-piracy, as well as to a recent judgment of the Court of Appeal of Florence, which reaffirmed a ruling of first instance criminal responsibility of owners of PC Box.
