After The Witcher Remake, what happened to The Witcher 3 next-gen?

The Witcher Remake was today’s surprise announcement, but Geralt fans are also waiting for The Witcher 3 next-gen .

The masterpiece of the past generation of CD Projekt Red , which you also find on Amazon, is waiting to be polished for the current generation of consoles.

The long-awaited next-gen update announced some time ago is still a fugitive, although it occasionally bursts with clues.

And in the meantime, the fans take care of making The Witcher 3 a title in step with the times, with the usual mods that bring the title to 8K.

Fans didn’t miss the opportunity to ask CD Projekt Red about the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 .

As reported by Push Square , the announcement of The Witcher Remake was the ideal assist to get information about the update.

The last time CD Projekt Red talked about the next-gen update he hinted that would be released again in 2022 , but the year is going forward and there is no news.

So a fan on Twitter took the opportunity to openly ask when The Witcher 3 will finally become next-gen :

CD Projekt Red responded with a sibylline “Soon;)” complete with a wink.

Obviously we have no idea what that “soon” means, considering that there are just two months to go to the end of the year , if The Witcher 3 next-gen is still expected for 2022.

Which will have to be included in the myriad of projects that CD Projekt Red recently announced, and which are moving forward quickly.

Also among them is The Witcher Remake , announced today, and which we discovered to be one of many codenames on the list future projects.

Who knows if in the next-gen version of the third chapter even the most iconic scene of the game will be polished, which in the meantime has become a cake.
