During the podcast Corner Office, Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision giant, recalled the first time when he was able to try out Nintendo Wii-occurred before the announcementthe console. After the first approach, reminiscent of the executive, was convinced that the motion control put in place by Nintendo would open the doors of gaming to many more people than traditional canons. We all know, as of today, he'd absolutely right. "It happens to see so many experiences, or make them, in which you stand in front of something extraordinary or beautiful or rich in potential. In this case, I was in Kyoto and Mr. Iwata and Mr. Miyamoto-the two heads of Nintendo-they saidthey wanted to show me something, "he recalled Kotick." I went into this room, with a small table. There was a small TV, the cathode ray tube, and a small cardboard box on a kind of black box and two "sticks". I gave him one, he took the other. All I saw on TV was a pond, like a small pond with water. He gave me the stick and said 'go fishing'. "" I do not even think he served, I made the movement and saw the launch of the bait and the waterShe moved. I held the stick and, as I did, began force feedback, I could feel the fish and I pulled it out. I thought this thing would change completely the video games, because it gives the idea of a physical experience, you know, it's very visceral. The controller is something with which you have a rather unusual visceral relationship, although in this case it was something completely different. I remember that I left thinking 'this will open a lot of new opportunities for games and forPeople who interest you. "But what is your memory of your first experience with Wii? How did you react in front of the controller? Release Date: December 7, 2006
