A PS4 exclusive is officially dead: goodbye to servers

Sadly, LittleBigPlanet 3 made it to the closing credits. Last January, due to technical problems, Sony announced that it had temporarily deactivated the game’s servers.\r\nHowever, in the last few hours, confirmation has arrived that the servers have been permanently closed.\r\nFor this reason For this reason, players will no longer be able to access the creations of other users, which were the heart and soul of the community experience offered by a creative game like the one starring the Sackboys.\r\nBy accessing the official game page on PlayStation Store we can read:\r\n\r\n«Due to ongoing technical problems that led to the temporary deactivation of the LittleBigPlanet™ 3 servers for PlayStation®4 in January 2024, it has been decided to keep the servers offline for a while indefinitely.\r\nAll online services, including access to other players’ creations for LittleBigPlanet 3, are no longer available. User-generated content (UGC) stored locally on your PS4™ console will remain available.\r\nEach Newly created content can be played on your PS4 console, but not shared. Offline features, such as the campaign, will remain available”.\r\n\r\nLittleBigPlanet 3 arrived on PS4 in 2013, receiving a good reception and managing to continue the success of the previous episodes, which were appreciated precisely for their nature of spaces for creativity and sharing between different members of the community.\r\nRecently, Media Molecule was hit by the layoffs that affected Sony and last September support for Dreams, the game-creator-of -games that had arrived in 2020.
