A Nintendo Switch feature will disappear on June 10th

A minor – but often used – feature of the Nintendo Switch, namely the integration with number of players.\r\nThis, while Switch 2 is inexorably approaching, with the latest news giving us hope regarding its announcement.\r\nAs also reported by GameRant, in fact, Nintendo has announced that it will interrupt the functionality within a few weeks, more precisely on June 10th, thus hitting users who use it to share game screens and videos from their Switch on one of the main social platforms in the world.\r\n\n\t As of June 10 , 2024, it will no longer be possible to post screenshots and videos to X (formerly Twitter) from the Nintendo Switch’s Album, or send friend requests to social media users via the Friend Suggestions feature.Find out more: https://t. co/rNkouTo109— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) May 9, 2024\n\n\n \n\r\nWe are well aware that many video games and platforms have used features linked to social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to give players a connection with their real-world friends.\r\nFor Switch players, however, the X/Twitter integration will disappear in a matter of weeks.\r\nThe company announced the decision via its social media account official. In its announcement, Nintendo referred to Twitter by its current name and videos on X via the Switch Album. Social features related to the X functionality are also affected, as players will no longer be able to send friend requests to others on Twitter via the Switch’s friend suggestion feature.\r\nIn a linked support article, Nintendo stated that the ability to post directly to Twitter and Facebook via the Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3 email inbox will also be removed, although the email inbox itself will remain for in-game messages. \r\nNintendo has provided no explanation as to why it is discontinuing support for Twitter in external programs) can be attributed to the recent wave of companies withdrawing support for integration of the social network on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in November 2023. In any case, not bad, given that it emerged that Nintendo Switch was the platform with the highest profits ever for the Big N.
