A few days ago Activision and Sledgehammer Games released their Call of Duty Vanguard , the latest installment of the first-person shooter war series, although fans already look forward to the next chapters coming out soon.
The new episode of the franchise, net of the popularity of Warzone , undoubtedly brought a breath of fresh air thanks also to the historical context linked to the Second World War.
In fact, the new chapter could be the first part of a real trilogy, net of the fact that other transversal episodes could arrive between one episode and another.
After all, Vanguard still seems to have started very well with sales, despite its “triumph” raised a small question related to the market.
Fans will remember well that years ago Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was released, the well-known single-player experience that includes the entire high definition campaign of the great classic.
With up to 4K resolution and HDR support on consoles , plus unlimited framerate and monitor support on ultrawide PCs thanks to Blizzard’s Battle.net platform, the game has managed to be discovered – or rediscovered – by younger players.
It has long been rumored that Activision was working on Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Remastered , although now an industry insider has claimed that the game has been canceled .
The project has never been officially announced, but according to leaker RalphsValve (via DualShockers ) the remastered multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare 2 has been blocked indefinitely.
Tom Henderson, another famous industry insider, also said in April that the game would not arrive in 2021.
RalphsValve did not go into details on why the project was canceled, although it is very likely that the multiplayer campaign was “sacrificed” in favor of the real remake of Modern Warfare 2 , expected (apparently ) in 2022.
