The Nintendo world is chock full of great games, although the Big N brands rarely invade other platforms (such as the mobile market ).
Games like Super Mario Odyssey (you can buy it for fast delivery on Amazon) will never make it to rival consoles, although apparently a much-loved game may land on PC instead. >.
Between one free classic and the other for the benefit of Switch users, there are in fact those who are absolutely certain that a title from Mario’s house will soon land elsewhere.
As reported by GamesRadar , fan of Mario Kart Tour believe that the mobile racing game may soon be playable on PC thanks to officially supported emulation.
As ResetEra MondoMega user discovered, dataminers on a fan-run Discord channel have found clues that indicate the possibility that the game will also land on PC in the latest update of Mario Kart Tour .
The first discovery that made the community suspicious was the addition of mouse support : While this may be for development purposes only, dataminers report that other references to native emulation support have also appeared.
The timing somehow coincides with an Android initiative called Google Play Games for PC , announced last year by Google at The Game Awards.
The company revealed that the platform would have plans to bring Android games to PC using ‘high performance’ emulation with cross-device playback of Android and Chrome OS from a single code base.
At the time of writing, the platform is currently in beta , so it’s real and working anyway.
Others also indicate the solution is the one devised by Microsoft for Android apps on the Windows Store, which provides support for the Amazon App Store on Windows 11 .
While the clues point to this possibility, it’s worth noting that Nintendo hasn’t confirmed anything yet .
Staying on the subject, this week you can have fun at no additional cost with a truly unique spin-off: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is the new free timed trial of Switch Online, available now. p>
