The next November 23rd will be a very important day for the panorama of Virtual and Simulated Sports: at the Salone d’Onore of the C.O.N.I., in fact, a dedicated conference will take place, organized by the eSports Promoting Committee, which will be attended, among others, by the Minister of Sport Andrea Abodi, the President of the C.O.N.I. Giovanni Malagò and the President of the C.I.P. Luca Pancalli.

«As is known, the E-Sports Italia Promoting Committee signed, on January 14, 2022, a memorandum of understanding with the C.O.N.I. with the aim, among others, to support the individual National Sports Federations and Associated Sports Disciplines so that they develop internally, in compliance with the provisions issued by the competent International Federations, the sector of Electronic and Simulated Sports of disciplines traditional» the Promoting Committee explained to us, reaching us with a press release.

This Conference will therefore have the aim of giving further impetus to the activities of the Committee: the aim is to promote Digital and Simulated Sport on the national territory, so that it can live « a conscious, responsible, sustainable, inclusive and healthy development, based on the ethical and deontological values ​​of the Olympic Charter”.

During the Conference, following the opening of the works by Danilo Di Tommaso (head of the press office of the C.O.N.I.), Giovanni Malagò, Andrea Abodi, Luca Pancalli and Michele Barbone (president of the eSport Promoting Committee) will also intervene – with the latter who will be responsible for providing updates on the status of the Committee. The two vice presidents, Gianfranco Ravà and Daniele Di Lorenzo, as well as Giancarlo Guarino, of the board of directors, also flanked him.

Afterwards, Alessandro Senzameno (operating director of the technical sector of the eSport Promoting Committee) will present the initiatives via video, accompanied by the speeches of:

• Three Professional Players of the NBA2K MCes Team: Valerio Fontana – DrJimbc, Antony Balsamo – Jeeeezo and Marco Cugini – Lebronjamessss90
• FISR Athletes and SkateXL Players: Simone Alberto Grifone and Simona de Juliis
• The e-Chess players for the Italian Chess Federation who will compete during the conference: the Grand Master Lexy Ortega and the Grand Master Roberto Mogranzini.
• The Coordinator of the “Motorsport for Planet&People” Project Michele del Grosso who will show a video presentation of the SimRacing driving simulator adapted for athletes with disabilities.
