On the pages of PlayStation Blog , Infinity Ward has officially confirmed the support for mouse and keyboard on console for its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare . Matchmaking for multiplayer modes of the game should in fact be based on the devices – controller vs controller, mouse and keyboard vs mouse and keyboard – and not on the platform itself.

In this regard, the design director Joe Cecot explained:

This should make matchmaking even more balanced, as well as allowing the most competitive players to enjoy the sensitivity and precision of pointing offered by a mouse.

In today’s related news, the software house also anticipated that we will “soon” be able to see the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare campaign in action.
