This week begins with a very intriguing prospect for Nintendo Switch 2 because, exactly 8 years ago, there was the complete reveal of the console in a special presentation by Nintendo.\r\nOn January 13, 2017, in fact, Nintendo told everything you needed to know on the then unknown Nintendo Switch (which later became a best seller on Amazon), including launch titles of the lineup.\r\nI’m not referring to the next trailer of the console, so to speak, which amazed the world in October 2016 recounting the first suggestions of the hybrid console that bewitched the community.\r\nWith a great event full of details, Nintendo showed for the first time not only the features of the console, but also titles that would become pillars of its catalog, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey.\r\nUnfortunately Nintendo has deleted every trace of the video, including the 2016 video for some reason, but you can recover it below if you are curious:\r\n\r\nAfter the reveal this was a crucial moment. Nintendo was emerging from the commercial flop of Wii U and needed to regain the trust of fans, and it also did so with the press events which on that very date allowed industry professionals to physically get their hands on the console.\r\nEight years later , Nintendo Switch has proven to be much more than a gamble: it has become one of the best-selling consoles ever, exceeding 130 million units in 2023. Not to mention specifically the Japanese market, where dominance is nothing short of sensational.\r\nAfter the many leaks and rumors of the last few days, let’s see if this will be the week of Nintendo Switch 2, which has been in the works for a while and could really arrive soon given that the price has also been talked about for a few hours now part.
