Sony revealed a series of interesting innovations for a few days ago for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, including the arrival of some great classics of the PS1 catalog, coming from two of the most iconic sagas of the first PlayStation era: Resident Evil and Twisted Metal.
Starting from 15 July, two chapters of the famous four -wheeled fighting game will entered the Classics section: Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4.
A perfectly synchronized exit with the debut of the second season of the Peacock TV series, set for July 31st. For fans of motorized madness and psychopathic clown Sweet Tooth, it is a double appointment not to be missed.
But the surprises do not end there: there will also be two masterpieces of the Survival horror signed by Capcom at the David Jaffe Games. Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, in their original incarnation for PS1, will return to terrorize players during the summer, even if Sony has not yet communicated an exact date.
Both games represent two of the most iconic moments of the saga, starring Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine, immersed in the biological disaster of Raccoon City. A perfect opportunity for historical fans and for those who want to discover the origins of one of the most long -lived and loved horror series of all time.
In addition to PS1 titles, Sony has confirmed the arrival of another classic: Deus ex: The Conspiracy, PS2 version of the 2002 Ryberpunk Ryberpunk, will be available from June 17th for Premium users.
IMPORTANT: the games of Classics Catalog are accessible only to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers (you can subscribe on Amazon). They should not be confused with the titles of the Game Catalog, which includes modern PS4/PS5 productions and is also available for extra users. After years of requests from fans, Sony finally seems ready to really enhance her endless archive of classic games. The choice to bring back to life not only the original resident Evil but also the crazy Twisted Metal – just as the TV series is preparing to return – demonstrates a well -weighted strategy, capable of mixing intelligent nostalgia and marketing.
Now only a question remains: will Sony be able to keep this rhythm in the coming months? While waiting to find out, here are the free PS Pkus games of June.
