SoulCalibur isn’t done yet, for the director of Tekken 8

Fighting games are experiencing a fairly prosperous period, but not all franchises have had the same luck and among these there is SoulCalibur, which has long disappeared from the scene and has no projects on the horizon.\r\nAfter SoulCalibur 6 (you can find it on Amazon ) which was by no means a huge commercial success in 2018, there has been no more video game in the series and, at least for now, the horizon of the white-armed fighting game seems very dark.\r\nFans of SoulCalibur must give up hope? According to Katsuhiro Harada, the last word has not yet been said.\r\nThe director of Tekken 8 did his utmost in a very long post on X to explain how the fighting game market works, why some make it and others don’t.\r\ n\r\nHarada explained that the general idea is that it’s incredibly difficult to keep a game like a fighting game relevant, for many reasons.\r\nNot only fighting games have had to adapt to the transition from arcade to console gaming domestic, but they’ve also had to navigate an industry controlled by business types, not necessarily those with experience in game development.\r\nHowever, despite the mixed results achieved by the SoulCalibur series, there’s still a chance that Harada will the Project Soul team, which takes care of the series within Bandai Namco, can return with another title:\r\n\r\n«From my point of view, I don’t think the fire of Project Soul has gone out .
