Football Manager 25 will be a revolution: here are all the news (and goodbyes)

With the start of a new football season, obviously we cannot miss the appointment with the annual editions of the most loved simulation video games of this sport: among the most famous we can only mention Football Manager, for those who prefer to stay on the bench to manage your favorite teams.\r\nSports Interactive’s simulations are particularly deep and accessible at the same time, but they also have the same flaw for several years, including the latest edition (find the PS5 version on Amazon): the actual news from from one edition to the next there are very few.\r\nFootball Manager 25, however, has decided to close with the past and announce many new revolutions, also thanks to the new Unity engine: director Miles Jacobson has published an interesting update on the official website of the series to explain all the new features in detail, but we will also be forced to give up those features.\r\nThe director underlines that FM25 will have to be the beginning of a new era, which can be used as a basis for the next 20 years: for for this reason there will be the aforementioned transition to Unity, with a new graphical interface.\r\nThe intention is to provide players with all the information they need to manage teams, but without overloading them too much.\r\nThe basis of this new experience we find the new panels and tabs, which contain respectively small and large data information: this will allow players to precisely establish the amount of detail they need.\r\nThanks to this innovation, we will also be able to witness a new screen visible among the salient phases of a match, capable of providing us with all the most important information in detail.\r\nInstead of the inbox, previously a real point of reference for discovering the most important news, we will find the Portal section : a window full of content that includes new messages, our agenda but also lots of additional information relating to news and other matches in progress.\r\nThe most important news certainly concerns the inclusion of women’s teams: Sports Interactive confirms that it is already managed to obtain several licenses and hopes to be able to add others before the official launch.\r\nUnfortunately, along with these additions we must also point out several features that will be removed: to be precise, Miles Jacobson confirms that in Football Manager 25 we will no longer have the pitchside instructions and the social media and databoard screen, but also the Create a team, Versus and Challenge modes, used by very few players.\r\nIn the case of the pitchside instructions, the director admitted that he had never been a big fan of this feature and it will have to be deeply rethought to be implemented correctly, while for the other screens this is information that can be found elsewhere in the panels and tabs.\r\nFantasy Draft will also not be available at launch, but in this case the developers have promised to add it with an update and in a significantly improved version, complete with collaboration with FIFA and for eSports tournaments.\r\nThe Create a team and Challenge modes will return only starting from Football Manager 26, while for the Versus mode there are several doubts: Sports Interactive actually wants to redesign it or replace it with something totally different. In short, it is not certain that it will be possible to propose it again for the next chapter.\r\nIn short, there will be many additions but also several removals for the new coaches, which is why it is likely that it will take some time to get used to the new interfaces.\ r\nHowever, it is also the first time in several years that there seems to be an intention to definitively evolve Football Manager: we hope that the objective will be achieved definitively.\r\nIn the meantime, if you want to recover the previous chapter of the football management simulation, we leave you with our dedicated review.
