Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Director of Kong: Skull Island, revealed that Sony has accepted his design for the Metal Gear Solid film, long awaited by fans of the series by Hideo Kojima and Konami.
Speaking to the microphones by IBTimes, Vogt-Roberts explained that “I was able to go from Sony and be very honest, saying: ‘ we were all partners for quite some time, but here’s what Metal Gear has to be and this is the version I want to do. If you don’t want tomake this version, then not only the right man for you. “
“I spent three years trying to guide this project and there’s the world’s most important project for me”.
Big fan of the franchise, the Director clarified its vision in this regard:
“Basically, Metal Gear speaks of the cycle of pain and this strange family soap opera ignore Street, ideologies, characters and philosophies. Plays with tone and with so many different things, many of which are ideas andconcepts “.
To the delight of fans, Sony gave his “okay, we’ll do the version you have proposed” Vogt-Roberts. But, points out the latter, “I wonder if we can work on that script or [even] make movies”: If nothing else, “now we are facing the right target.”
