Jim Ryan reveals the location of Sony on cross platform game

After opening some time ago by Microsoft, Sony has ignored the issue of cross platform game between consoles from different manufacturers for several months before it comes back into vogue with Rocket League on Nintendo Switch and Minecraft at E3 2017.

He spoke just a few hours ago a Japanese platform holder’s refusal to yet another olive branch tended to the unification of the community of Minecraft, proposed insteadaccepted by Nintendo.

At this point, pressed during an interview from Eurogamer.net, Jim Ryan, head of marketing and global sales of Sony Interactive Entertainment, finally took place.

While stating not to get philosophical “objections”, Ryan explained that “we must have in mind our responsibility to our installed base. Minecraft is played, you know, from users of all ages but also from very young. “

“We have a contract with thepeople who go online with us, by virtue of which we need to protect them and are within a universe curated by PlayStation. Expose those who in many cases are children to outside influences over which we have control is something we must think very carefully “.

Ryan added that this could change in the future, but also that at the moment there are no negotiations and conversations going on between the parties involved. One solution would be so, if you weretrying, far away.
