Official sales data of Rift remains a mystery, with the company founded by Palmer Luckey and acquired by Facebook always rather reticent when it comes todiscuss it publicly. A new chance to show such reticence came during an interview with a Polygon by vice President product clerk Nate Mitchell.In this interview, Mitchell responded, when asked about how many units sold Rift, that “this is a good question!” and added a comment that seems anything but an official statement on sales. ” I would say that we are very, very far from being saturated. Next year, with Touch andthe new minimum specifications and content coming soon, we will see a tremendous number of people arriving to Rift and the VR on PC. I am very confident. ” The VP was more open in commenting on the success of Gear VR, the device developed in collaboration with Samsung, which “has been used by millions of people in April”.
