Trouble in the home of the giant Warner Bros.: the company has decided to agree with the Court after allegations that the Federal Trade Commission had moved against the strategyadopted for the promotion of Middle Earth: the shadow of Mordor. According to the latter, in fact, the company has paid “from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars” some YouTuber and influencers, including PewDiePie, to have videos that recensissero the game. The video ended up on YouTube and other social channels, have been viewed over 5.5 million times and saw Warner recommend not to show bugs or glitches present in the product. The prosecution, in particular, focuses on the fact that the company did not state clearly enough that the videos were made in return for payment: generally, it was stated in the description, but only if it was going to open the full text, pressing “view more”. In some cases, some have not indicated at all, merely influencers just to say they had received the game early access, but not stating that you have received a fee for talking about it. We will see how to evolve theeach other.
