The autumn mists that envelop the territories of the West bring with them something more sinister than the usual cold of the season. As Red Dead Online players prepare to face an eventful month, the shadows grow longer and the rewards multiply for those brave enough to challenge the supernatural creatures that infest the frontier. The Halloween atmosphere radically transforms the gaming experience, offering unprecedented earning opportunities and the return of exclusive content that many have been eagerly awaiting.
The main event revolves around the Halloween Call to Arms mode, where frontier veterans will have to resist successive waves of ghostly enemies to earn triple rewards in terms of RDO$, Gold and experience points. Two new battle scenarios expand the strategic possibilities: Van Horn and the Bronte villa become theaters of apocalyptic clashes where survival depends on team coordination and shooting precision. Those who reach the fourth wave can claim the Rafferty eyepatch from the Outlaw Pass 4, while the most persistent who reach the eighth wave earn the crimson and anthracite Nacogdoches saddle.
The competition calendar is enriched with modes that transform duels between players into real waking nightmares. The weekly programming alternates different variations of the featured series, each characterized by unique mechanics and settings that wink at the horror genre. From October 7 to 13, the Halloween: Endless Night series kicks off the month of terror with double RDO$ rewards and experience points.
The rotation continues with the war loot series in its Halloween variant, followed by dead of night and culminates with the extreme endless night which will accompany players until November 3rd. Winners of the monthly competitions will receive a white Fernwater coat, while those who enter with a permanent posse will benefit from a 40% discount on exclusive items for expert distillers.
The distiller business receives a significant boost during this period, with double earnings on all sales and deep discounts on specialized equipment. Distiller’s Huts see their price reduced by 10 gold bars, while Saloon Themes see a 50% cut. Traveling also becomes more convenient thanks to the 30% discount on transfers, allowing virtual entrepreneurs to quickly expand their business horizons.
The community’s creativity finds expression through an outfit inspired by the work of Game2Get, which introduces the distinctive pig’s head mask available for free from Madame Nazar into the game. The ensemble is completed with the Stringham shirt, cuffed city trousers and turtleneck loafers, all obtainable through the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. catalog at no additional cost.
The weekly rewards system encourages constant participation with thematic prizes distributed throughout the month. Those who regularly play Red Dead Online can earn the black Covington hat as a monthly prize, while Halloween week reserves the red and black Concho pants for the most loyal. Each week presents specific challenges: from the Cistillator story missions for the red and black Irwin coat, to the featured series victories for the red Carver trousers.
The Halloween 2 Pass returns for a limited time, maintaining all veteran progression and giving newcomers the opportunity to explore previously inaccessible content. The ghostly gear and unique rarities contained in the Pass represent some of the most coveted rewards in the game, destined to vanish into the mist again on November 3rd. Items such as the Bowyer Boots, Ortega Vest, Carbow Double Bandolier, and Armadillo Tuba Badge temporarily return to the catalog to satisfy the most discerning collectors.
The event also extends to transport services, with zero rates for fast travel which allow for smoother travel between the different activities. This benefit is particularly useful during intensive gaming sessions, when players quickly alternate between battles, assaults and investigations to maximize earnings in the limited time available.
