The State of Play of 3 September, broadcast live on the official PlayStation channels of YouTube and Twitch, was entirely dedicated to 007 First Light, the new title developed by Io Interactive out on March 27, 2026.
The event, which began at 20:00, had a total duration of about thirty minutes and allowed to see more closely the new adventure dedicated to the most famous secret agent in the world.
As previously anticipated by the study, the gameplay has included a combination of high -speed automotive pursuit, stealth and shooting moments, to represent the variety of situations that players will be able to face.
To contextualize, 007 First Light had been announced by IoInatheteractive in November 2020 with the code name “Project 007”.
The official Reveal of the title, accompanied by a first trailer, took place during the State Ofplay in June 2025, while the announcement of the platforms and the fact that it was an original story for a young bond dates back to that period.
The game is set during the youth of James Bond – an aspiring Mi6 agent -, and tells the ascent until the assignment of the “00 -Status”.
The complete version will be available on PlayStation5, Xbox Seriesx/S, PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) and Nintendo Switch2, with an output expected in 2026.
The State Ofplay in September therefore represented the first real opportunity to see in action the promises made in the previous months, concretely showing what IoInathective has called “intense espionage gameplay”.
It was an expected moment for fans and for those who await a significant video game return for the James Bond franchise, after years of silence in the Gaming panorama.
But not only that: alongside the news shown in the State of Play, very expected information has also emerged on the price of the game. According to reports from the well-known Leaker Billbil-Kun and relaunched by Insider Gaming, 007 First Light will be available in two different editions.
The standard edition will have a price set at 69.99 euros, the Collector’s Edition much more demanding, which will be offered for 300 euros and which has already appeared in the Amazon price lists for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.
With this appointment now behind, the attention focuses on the evolution of the project in the coming months: in particular, if an official launch window for 2026 is revealed, and if further narrative or game mechanical aspects will be revealed.
