The post-apocalyptic world of Hideo Kojima continues to be subject to targeted attention even months after the launch. The latest Patch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (here our review), version 1.08, demonstrates the team’s will to further refine an experience that has conquered public and criticism.
With a weight of 925.1 MB, the patch intervenes on a rather annoying technical problem that involved the camera and the surrounding environment, causing shots and micro-interruptions during the character’s movements.
Although it did not compromise the general playability, the bug risked undermining the immersion in a playing world with attention to the smallest details, a central element of the work of Kojima Productions. In addition to the main correction, the update introduces general optimizations and small finishes that make the experience more stable and smooth.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach came exclusively on PlayStation 5 last June, accompanied by a huge wait and an impact promotional campaign.
For the launch, Kojima Productions had published a suggestive final trailer, enriched by the industrial-electronic sounds of Woodkid, capable of alternating frenetic action scenes with moments of strong narrative introspection without revealing too much of the plot.
Among the most spectacular sequences shown were chases on motorcycle, clashes against colossal creatures and breathtaking settings. The high profile cast, with Luca Marinelli as Neil and Troy Baker in the role of Higgs, joined faces already known as Fragile and Heartman, consolidating the link with the first chapter.
The specialized criticism welcomed the game with enthusiasm, praising the evolution of the mechanics with respect to the original and the exceptional technical quality. The choice to expand and perfect the formula without betraying its artistic identity was considered one of the keys to success.
With this patch, Kojima Productions once again shows attention and listening to one’s community, ready to intervene quickly to ensure that the experience remains at the height of expectations. A commitment that further strengthens the prestige of the project and consolidated Death Stranding 2 as one of the most well -kept titles of the current generation.
