Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji is official

The feudal world of Japan will return to expand in the coming weeks with a series of updates that promise to deeply renew the Assassin’s Creed Shadows gaming experience.
Ubisoft has outlined a summer roadmap that will culminate in September with the first downloadable content of the series, demonstrating how the French company intends to keep the interest in its latest chapter set in the Sengoku period alive (which you find on Amazon). The post-launch strategy is divided into three distinct phases, each designed to respond to the requests of the community and expand the possibilities offered by the title.
On 29 July it will mark the arrival of the first important update, which will bring the maximum limit of levels from 60 to 80 units.
This expansion will not be limited to a simple numerical increase, but will introduce new ranks of knowledge and skills of unpublished mastery that will allow players to further specialize their characters. The hiding places, the central element of the game experience, will also receive an important injection of content through new enhancement, including the Forge of Heiji.

At the same time, project 3 will be launched, which will enrich the game world with new resources to be collected, unpublished data files and exclusive Animus themed rewards. The developers wanted to reassure the community by specifying that there are no time pressures: those who are still completing the first two projects can continue their path or go directly to the new content according to their preferences.
The introduction of the new game Plus mode perhaps represents the most awaited novelty by fans of the series. This feature will become accessible as soon as the players complete the final mission of the main story, offering two different approach options.
The first allows you to completely relive the crucial events of the Tensho war in the IgA region, while the second allows you to jump directly when Naoe inherits the property of the hiding place.
The system was designed to balance continuity and freshness: while the progression of history, the bulletin board of the objectives and the uncovered locations will be reset, the character level, the acquired equipment, the skill points, the rank of knowledge and the progress of the hiding place will remain intact. The developers also guaranteed that the introductory tutorials will not interfere with the experience of the second game.
The beginning of September will see the arrival of a second update focused on the improvements of the quality of life. Among the most significant innovations, the possibility of jumping directly to dawn or sunset stands out, eliminating the wait for specific moments of the day. The world map will be automatically discovered after completing the synchronization of the panoramic points in each region, simplifying the exploration.
The forge will receive a further level of strengthening that will allow you to reach the mythical (from epic) and artifact rarity (as a legendary) for the equipment. PC players will also be able to benefit from a frameless frame rate during cinematographic sequences, accompanied by bug corrections and general stability improvements.
On September 16th he will represent the culmination of this summer Roadmap with the launch of Claws of Awaji, the first expansion of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Those who have preordained the game will be able to access the additional content for free, while more details will be revealed during a session of questions and answers on Reddit scheduled for August 12th.
The expansion promises to further expand the narrative universe of the title, offering new areas to explore and unpublished stories set in feudal Japan.
This post-launch content strategy demonstrates Ubisoft’s commitment to keep the Assassin’s Creed Shadows community active, combining technical improvements and new narrative content in a package that should satisfy both the Newcomers and the veterans of the series.
