Helldivers 2, fans discover unpublished use of jetpack

In the world of video games, the most surprising mechanics often arise by chance, when players find unexpected uses for apparently secondary tools.
In Helldivers 2 (here you can find our review), for example, the last Battle Pass has introduced a technology that is revolutionizing exploration: a backpack fueled by dark matter that allows you to instantly teleport on the battlefield.
What seemed like a simple support for the tactical movement proved to be a key element of the gameplay, opening strategic possibilities that not even the developers had fully foreseen.
The Lift-182 Warp Pack strategist, available in the new Control Group Warbond, works similarly to the skills of the Overwatch Tracer character, allowing rapid movements through short distances.
However, the players have quickly discovered that this device can do much more than simply avoid enemy bullets or overcome perimeter fences. The real surprise came when someone tried to cross the doors of the bunkers, those underground structures that normally require two coordinated players to be open.
These shelters contain some of the most precious treasures of the game: super credits and extra equipment that can make the difference between a successful mission and a catastrophic failure.
The problem has always been logistical: a second person is needed to simultaneously press the buttons that activate the doors opening mechanism.

Seeing the shimmer of the booty through the metal grates without being able to access it had become one of the most irritating aspects of the gaming experience. The new Jetpack has completely eliminated this limitation, allowing players to materialize directly within the armored structures.
The versatility of the device does not stop at the bunkers. Shipping containers, which traditionally required heavy artillery to be open, can now be violated with the same ease. This discovery has radically transformed exploration dynamics, making the collection of resources during missions much more efficient.

The approval seal of the developers
When players started sharing videos of these companies through social media and forums, many feared that Arrowhead Game Studios considered these tactics as unintentional exploit to be corrected immediately.
The concern was legitimate: developers often tend to \
