We return to talk about a possible Nintendo Direct scheduled for the end of July, after the first rumors of a few days ago. The source of this information was born The Hate, a YouTuber who in recent times has shown that he has reliable contacts within the videogame industry. Its credibility has increased considerably after having precisely predicted the exact date in which the Switch 2 announcement trailer would be released.
During his latest episode Podcast, Nate revealed that he received information that Nintendo would be planning a direct for July, but with a specific condition: the event would not be held before the release of Donkey Kong Bananza, scheduled for July 17, 2025.
The timing suggested by Nate is not accidental and is based on strategic considerations related to the Nintendo financial calendar. In fact, the last week of July would represent the ideal time for an announcement, considering that on Friday 1 August 2025 the quarterly report on the company’s earnings is scheduled for publication. This practice of organizing showcase shortly before communications to investors has become a custom for Nintendo, which uses these events to strengthen market trust with new ads.
The situation is further complicated considering that on 22 July a Pokémon Present is already scheduled, the event dedicated exclusively to the pocket monster franchise.
Although it is not unusual to organize close events, the temporal proximity between the two showcases could influence the programming or content of the potential Direct. Kyoto’s house will have to balance the attention of the public between two distinct events, avoiding overlaps that could dilute the impact of the ads.
In the meantime, Nintendo wants to know how digital physical games are finding. Be honest.
Another clue on the Nintendo Direct in July, only the announcement is missing
