As usual, unfortunately we return to talk about server closings: in May 2025 there will be two games to say goodbye to their online features. May. The game, developed by Phoenix Labs, had proposed a more accessible alternative to Monster Hunter (which you find on Amazon), focusing on an immediate cooperative system and on an captivating visual style. A clear and rather bitter end for a title that, despite not having revolutionized the genre, had been able to carve out a slice of his public. The Warner Bros. scarcated crossover beam – which stages fights between characters such as Batman, Shaggy and Bugs Bunny – had made itself talked about for a very ambitious launch, only to then drop drastically in popularity. In the meantime, other titles are undergoing the same fate or prepare to leave the subscription services: NHL 23 will leave EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on May 1, while Evil Dead: The Game will soon be removed from the Xbox store. In short, it seems that summer will take away more than one game from servers all over the world. Dauntless, in particular, perhaps deserved a more dignified closure: the fact that it will no longer even be initiated leaves the bitterness in the mouth, especially for those who have invested us hours and emotions.
